Methodology - how coupons are verified and dated

Sourcing

Every coupon must have a source: the store's own promo/referral page, an official announcement, or (marked clearly) a community submission. The ticket links to the source and shows the date we last fetched it. For deals we cannot independently confirm, the status is "unverified" - visible but labeled.

Expiry dates

We only publish an end date when the source states one. Otherwise the ticket says "no published expiry" and the coupon is re-checked on a rolling schedule instead of getting a fake deadline.

Community testing

After redeeming, visitors vote worked / didn't work. The success meter weights recent confirmations higher (14-day half-life). A run of negative reports puts the coupon in the re-check queue; a timer then re-fetches the source page. When the source no longer lists the offer, the coupon flips to "expired" and stays visible in the store's archive.

Referral labels

Affiliate/referral links are labeled on the ticket itself, never mixed into "public code" entries. See the disclosure for the details.

What we do not do

No fake countdown timers, no invented "X people used this today", no hidden exclusions. If a number is not sourced, it is not on the page.
